a few good things.

i am a firm believer that winter is the worst time of the year
snow is something that only should occur on december 24th & 25th
but to keep myself happy here are some wintery things that made me smile:

playing outside with a bundled up malo
having the time to buy these cute things^
from one world projects in batavia
i got all of this for 7 bucks and some change. EXCITING!!
having snow that we could make a tower out of
seeing linco's face each time he knocked it down.

"He sends the snow like white wool,
he scatters frost upon the ground like ashes.
He hurls the hail like stones.
Who can stand against his freezing cold?
Then, at his command, it all melts.
He sends his winds, and the ice thaws."
Psalm 147: 16-18
(i'm pretty much ready for the melting part)

its all about the love.

happy late valentine's day!

so i spent the majority of valentine's day in the cafeteria at houghton
with this beautiful woman...

if you can't tell, i love her!!
malo's balloon.
brotherly lovin.

"Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God.
Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.
1 John 4:7

hope you all had a beautiful day!

a little teaser.

so... i just started myself on a running schedule
(after running being on my new years resolution list for 3 years, my cousin inspired me to get to it)
and i've been TRYING to eat a little better

so far: i've ran about 28 miles total
i've been eating more fruits & veggies instead of pizza logs
and i've GAINED 7 lbs?!

now i really don't care about what i weigh
as long as my body feels fine
the point of writing this is to prove that my old work out plan was better
and this was: planning on not working out
i think my body responds better to not running
and eating the fattiest food in sight
and that's how i like it!

but i am not going to be a quitter...
so it looks like i will be bundling up again tomorrow morning
to run out into the whipping winds of new york winter

closet chaos.

so, yesterday i was disgusted that i had "nothing to wear"
(i have a similar struggle with "there is nothing to eat in this house"... my dad LOVES when i say that)
but in the same day i was complaining about not having enough room in my closet..?
i decided that it was time to clean out and reorganize my entire closet
so that 1: it will be easier to find things
and 2: i have room to fit more clothes!
which i plan to go shopping for soon.
and now that i just mentioned it. today is wednesday!
that means 1/2 off day at salvos. except... its 11:31 pm.
and now i'm annoyed that i'll have to wait until next week. ugh.

anyways... i purged my closet of all the clutter... into the middle of my room
and this is what it looks like.
hopefully by this time tomorrow night my closet (and my entire room)
will be clean and organized and beautiful.

(notice the beautiful mural painted on my wall by my oh-so-talented nana. i love it.)

my brother the... dancer?

while watching linco-j & malo last night...

tiny attempting to drink bath water...
and the cutest version of alfalfa i've ever seen.

and our newest obsession... is turning our radio in the living
room up super loud and dancing around until i am exhausted.
(which is quite quickly)
but lincoln loves it...

marvelous monday

sometimes my BEAUTIFUL cousins and i like to pretend that we're models...

and sometimes we go out in 0° weather wearing old school dresses.
and sometimes our legs are very white...
and sometimes denae looks like taylor swift.
and sometimes we are slightly... rambunctious? slightly.
mostly we are a very quiet family... :)
and sometimes we are very black.
and sometimes denae is too cute for her own good.
(which is often... she is not even old enough to drive!)

and this was our marvelous day today.

lincoln & the orange ball

today i took lincoln bowling.
it was his very first time!

focusing all his strength for the big push down the lane...

us waiting for the ball to get to the pins... it only took about 2 minutes each time
we kept thinking the ball would just stop in the middle because it was moving so slooowwly.
... so my brother isn't the biggest, strongest kid ever
(next time i should bring malacai haha)
