daily dose: dewey

i haven't taken too many outfit pictures lately...
but i took pictures of dewey wearing my/my shop's clothes
so here is a daily dose of dewey:

coat, dress, hat - vintage thrifted {my shop}
tights - ?? {mine}
shoes - payless {mine}

the other day i photographed 19 dresses to list in the shop
{with the modeling assistance of the lovely dewey}
i listed 9 today... but etsy was uploading pictures SO slowly that i just gave up.
so, the rest will be listed by tuesday night.

i've never seen/played sailor moon actually... but i know what she looks like
and this outfit reminds me {of a more modest version} of her outfit.

my 90's jams.

over the past few days one of the local radio stations
has been playing loads of songs from the 90's and early 2000's that i used to LOVE
so i feel like i have to share them, because each one that came on
reminded me of a specific time or moment in my childhood/tweeny years
{i'm also realizing how much trash i listened to}
here's a few i've heard:


112 - Peaches And Cream
rachel & i loved this song - but i only remember the words to the chorus
{and, after looking up the lyrics, i kind of hope that those were the only words i ever knew}

Ace of Base - The Sign
we listened to this on the bus almost everyday in elementary school
i still love it. thanks mrs. chapman!

Jay-Z - I Just Wanna Love U
my cousin michael sang part of this song to my grandma while we were at the lake
{referring to himself hanging out with all the "ladies" at camp} grandma was just confused.

Will Smith - Gettin' Jiggy Wit It
zac and i loved this song - mom & dad were not fans.

Vengaboys - We Like To Party!
danced to this song on the dinner cruise with dewey, sarah, mandy, brandon, etc...
{5th or 6th grade}

Spice Girls - Wannabe
okay, i hated the spice girls... but i hung out with rachel too much to not end up loving this song.

Savage Garden - Truly Madly Deeply
this was one of my favorite songs and i remember driving in the car one day
and zac told mom that i shouldn't be allowed to listen to it
because it says "i want to bathe with you in the sea" ha!

Fabolous - Young'n
listened to this all day with lauren and we tried to learn all the lyrics.
{i still love this song. shh.}

JaRule - Always On Time
Jennifer Lopez - I'm Real
both remind me of hanging out with rachel & keli {12 years old}

Janet Jackson - Someone To Call My Lover
i loved this song.
and i just watched the music video. too good.

it has been a full week since i did a "daily dose" outfit post...
{i know you've all missed it so much}
but, i'm making up for it because this week is special!
today i asked lincoln {4 years old} if he would be willing to take some pictures of my outfit.
he agreed.

thrifting: bowl full of goodness

i went to an estate sale yesterday for the first time in months!
{thanks megh for letting me know about the sale!}
i came home with a bowl-full of goodies! {all for $7.35}
check them out:

a sweet little tea pot - tea infuser.

a collection of vintage barrettes.

a floral bowl.

some cookie cutters.

this comb actually came from salvation army, but i love it, so i had to add it in.

a bunch of vintage glass bottle stoppers {this is my favorite one}

and last but not least. this little guy.
he is my FAVORITE!
no joke. i am in love!
as a kid i always put my gum on my bed side stand to save for the next day
my parents hated it! {i know it IS gross}
i guess they should have bought me one of these.


i also got a couple wallets and a few random items.
what a great thrifting morning! i am so anxious for spring sales to start.
or at least my favorite auction house to get rolling again {they said in february... eek!}

thrifting adventures.

today i went thrifting with my friend jeremiah. i was so glad to have a guy come with me for once so that i could pick out clothes for him to try on! he wasn't a fan of 90% of the things that i picked out, and a lot of it didn't fit him... but it was hilarious to see him walk out of the dressing room in pants that were 3 inches too short and way too wide around the waist. poor gangly kid!

he was obsessed with trying on this trench coat... but he looks miserable in this picture.

i bought that tank for him for being such a good sport! {plus it was only $ .50}
he's also quite proud of his burly man chest hair!

this was his funniest outfit.
it doesn't look as bizarre in the photo as it did in real life,
but when he opened the curtain to show me
i could not stop laughing and he looked miserable {obviously}.
don't you love my everlast shorts?!

an example of one of the many things that didn't fit him
and one of the very 90's skirts i had to try on.

i bought: boots, pants, shorts, a skirt, two lacey shirts, a sweater, and the one tank for him all for $11.
