i probably should have titled this post "lucky" or something...

this is one of the two skirts i won from dry vintage&thrift on blythe's blog
and i've been wearing them non-stop! i never win giveaways,
so it was so exciting to get a couple additions to my wardrobe without spending money!

PLUS we were given a gift card for a free pair of shoes from justfab.com at the ifbconference.
so these are the ones i picked! for being as tall as they are, they're incredibly comfortable.
{i always have issues with heels because my arches are so bad... but i can't convince myself to not wear them.}
but if you're into heels... they're having a 2 pair for $39.95 sale. and free shipping.
not too bad for non-thrifted shoes, right?

the sunday extra {7}

do you ever just have those days when you are just so down?
that pretty much sums up yesterday for me. i don't know if my hormones are just out of whack
or if i've just been experiencing a bout of depression/anxiety.
for a few years i had bad panic attacks
but it had been almost two years since my last one until yesterday.
worst feeling in the world.

sometimes i forget that i need to surrender my worries to God.
because during the times that i do, i don't struggle with these lows.
but i haven't been surrendering lately.
so i spent the night talking with my sweet Savior.
and what'd ya know... today is a new day.
and i'm feeling fine. :) He restores my soul.


Yet this I call to mind
and therefore I have hope:
Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed,
for his compassions never fail.
They are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.

this is probably the most expensive outfit i've ever worn
besides my prom dress and cross-country uniform.
{it cost a total of $68!... most of my outfits cost between $10-$20}

this blouse is easily my favorite that i own now.
i've worn it three times in the past week! {without washing.... oops}

the necklace is a gift my mom & dad gave to me when i was little.
i remember fighting with one of my brother's friends because they were in my room trying to steal my stuff
{they liked to pretend they were robbers}
and i got so mad because they were stealing my favorite necklace
so i grabbed it out of his hand and then he grabbed the chain and broke it.
{there is only a little bit of chain left on each side of the 'envelope'}
it still hasn't been fixed after all these years!
but it's still one of my favorite pieces of jewelry.
